Drawing with Flu

When you have the influenza You can do a few things...You can sleep if your nose says yes (and my nose says NO and every 3 minutes I cough and cough, bleah), You can watch TV...but watching TV doesn't relax me..or you can read books or you can draw. I read and I draw, on my sofa

my world is full of strange people, fun people that live into the flowers and around the flower and on trees. My flu, I know, fly away if I draw! bye bye...

It's Christmas! and I'm decorating my house, but...
I have stopped the decorations because I have found a precious object in my box of memories...
I found the shoes of my little sweet nephew Matteo when He was 1 1/2 years old...

and I thought of using these shoes for a 'memento'.

Matteo began to walk (Summer 2007) and his small shoes are a little consumed by his small steps..so sweet!

His steps are full of flowers and red leaves and butterflies and candies (metal charms) ...I hope that Matteo will have his road full of colours and life, as this little panel!

November, a little journey in the garden...

I love to work in my gardens, to think, to walk in my gardens, like a little journey inside myself...and these are flowers and gourds. They say 'welcome' to everyone

Simonetta Martellini, (a wonderful journalist, a great friend) was in Beijing in August for the Olympic Games and She sent me from China a wonderful gift: a special bouquet of flowers, tea flowers, handmade by chinese women.

You take a bud of tea and put it in a glass, You pour hot water on the bud, as if to make tea...You smell the good scent and hour after hour this bud opens in a wonderful flower, thanks Simonetta!

well, It's the time for modeling...I'm creating an urban angel...

the song of birds, the colors of flowers, I'm thinking new sculptures...but This is the energy of nature that inspires me...

and This is a little Elf, Pavar, a little hoonie (See the end of the post) made by me but inspired by the Marilyn Radzat class (Maryhoonie)on www.thatcreativeplace.com (thanks Lisa Gatz, for your work!).
For me it is important to find an italian way for Hoonies...and so, my Pavar is here!

What is a hoonie?

from Marilyn's word...'On a small island in the middle of the ocean live a unique and curious clan, called The Maryhoonie . Far distant cousins of the Hawaiian magical little people known as Menehunes, these curious creatures began adorning their feet with the most magical of foot ware know to every little girl as the MaryJane shoe.....and thus they were forever called.'

These are Storyteller Dolls, made with the Millefiore technique...They are not finished, but I want to give you an idea of the fun work we are doing with Dayle!
