Barocco- OOAK Hand made Sterling silver wire and brass ring with red obsidian

The word baroque is derived from the Portuguese word "barroco", Spanish "barroco",italian 'barocco': all of which refer to a "rough or imperfect pearl".
In informal usage, the word baroque can simply mean that something is "elaborate", with many details.

This ring is very elaborate, hours of work!
At the center a unique gemstone, a wonderful red obsidian: obsidian is good utilized as grounding and protective agents.

Obsidian is surrounded by sterling silver wire and tens of silver charms (butterflies, hearts, dolphins, beads).
Ring is in brass.
Ring size 7.

You can think this ring as a sculpture for your hand.
You can see it here.

The School of my nephew Andrea is in a park full of trees and interesting statues that commemorate Partisans killed in the II world war.
Do you remember de Chirico's Muses?

Griforena. A fantastic medieval creature.
He has a human head, His intelligence has the animal instincts and the human concentration.
His body is of a bird and specifically It is the body of a Griffon. He has a siren tail, He has Lion legs. He flies, He swims, He walks, He runs. Audacy, intelligence, lightness, power!

This evening my post talks about the Moon.
She invites us to look within ourselves and discover our dreams. What do I see today within myself? Today the dream becomes reality:I feel good and I am happy when I create my sculptures...I feel like I'm riding the waves on the back of a joyful whale! wow

inspirational afternoon...

the song of birds, the colors of flowers, I'm thinking new sculptures...but This is the energy of nature that inspires me...

and This is a little Elf, Pavar, a little hoonie (See the end of the post) made by me but inspired by the Marilyn Radzat class (Maryhoonie)on www.thatcreativeplace.com (thanks Lisa Gatz, for your work!).
For me it is important to find an italian way for Hoonies...and so, my Pavar is here!

What is a hoonie?

from Marilyn's word...'On a small island in the middle of the ocean live a unique and curious clan, called The Maryhoonie . Far distant cousins of the Hawaiian magical little people known as Menehunes, these curious creatures began adorning their feet with the most magical of foot ware know to every little girl as the MaryJane shoe.....and thus they were forever called.'

Pupa:Metamorfosi

Metamorphosis: This is a woman, ok, but this is a Guardian that walks to The Life, with rose plumes and rose buttons and...fabric leaves, trims, decorations. She walks to a life light and elegant as a plume. The ornaments are the surface of an intense soul.

Apoxie Sculpt on Gourds, aluminium foils, buttons (rose and mother of pearls), italian trims, white wool, Prosculpt, fabric leaves, plumes.

This is the first sculpture for the 'Healing doll class' with Barb Kobe. The next will be the Guardian (see the sketch under this post)
