I live in an island where winter is short and it is not very cold.
Summer is very long and warm and with a lot of humidity. With some difficulty I create and design and I have difficulties to focus on my work because of tourists and noise.
Therefore my true Spring is the Autumn and Winter.
I Focus, I create, I do not have distractions, I am in the studio everyday and 'my spirit is eager to get back to...the space of creating...like food for my soul',like says Marilyn (Radzat).
What is your true Spring?
Do you create with the sun or the rain?
Is cold or warm indifferent to you?
Do you create despite everything?
How far does your concentration reach?

My belief is that if you are a creative person--and I am!--you create all day! I create something every day. Blogging, for example. If I'm not creating per se, I'm thinking about it!
I live in Florida, so, like you, we don't have a really long winter. It's Winter now, but it won't last past February. Our summer lasts for like 10 months! LOL!!!
That picture is the most delightful interpretation of spring I have ever seen in my entire life! I absolutely LOVE it!
I envy you the wonderful climate; short winters and long humid summers is a dream to me!!!!;))
I live in the dark north and to me creativity comes not so much from the natural seasons, but more from inspiration of my mind and soul by encounter with other people and experiences I make during the day. That can be in a form of kindness and love.
Nature can inspire me in its turn at any time.;)
Wonderful picture, beautiful prose. The sun is my inspiration, always. But I am learning, slowly, not to be affected by the long, dark, cold days of winter here in England. I paint my pictures of Africa and the people I love and admire and that helps to bring the light into my world.
Enchanting rendition of
Spring! You do such
delightful drawings.
Where I live in Canada, the winters tend to be fairly long, cold and snowy. I love 'cocooning' in my cozy house and find that I create much more in
the colder months. When the weather is warm and sunny, I feel guilty being inside and that I should be out taking full advantage of the balminess.

This is such a pretty sketch !!!
I wonder at times, what does it take to create ART?
very very nice !!
wonderful little sketch - make me grin from ear to ear.
ah, loaded question ... I guess true spring is when the creative well is overflowing (whenever that may be) & it doesn't matter rain or shine, but more often than not it happens during the late, late night till just before dawn - there's a stillness that suits me.
then again, maybe true spring is on Tuesdays. :)
Are we inspired when the spring comes, or does the spring come when we are inspired?!
BTW, I passed on a happy award to you , it's in the back of a white truck with a smiling red sun!
You can pick it up when the truck passes by your sunny island , or if you'd like at my Aikawarazu site.
Cheers.
Weather doesn't seem to have much of an affect on my muses. My muses come in waves and surges. So I guess you could say I have many springs, more like coils.
I like your little fairy muse springing from the flower.
Muse Swings sent me over here to see her. Joy.
What a sweet little drawing! Makes me think of spring.
My most creative time is winter though, and I get excited when fall comes and the leaves first start to change. I'm in Canada, so when winter is here I hibernate and that is when I get most of my work done. Summer is too nice and short to spend indoors, so I rarely touch a brush from spring till fall. I'm hoping to change that though :-D
What a wonderful drawing:) So whimsical, this must be you happy to be so creative!
have a nice weekend,
Andrea
Oh Steph! I'm really loving your little drawings! They are so Magical!!

an interesting post. i am going to add you to my list of favoroute blogs to visit. your blog rocks.
Had I know that your post originated here, I would have left my post here with you. However as it is, I posted "my spring" to your other post on the Other blog (the one that I later found was a group of bloggers)I do enjoy both of them!
I live where there are such extremes in weather (though lucky for us, it never lasts long). The weather doesn't really influence my art - I create year-round with equal enthusiasm.
I find that even though I am completely land-locked, the coming of each new year I create sea-inspired art. I'm not sure why that is and it usually passes by mid-spring. I'm sure there is some kind of analysis but I don't have a clue.
Oh!I love this one too! :-)
